Question about a virus and I need a good free spyware / virus removal program?

I'm pretty positive I just got a virus or spyware. My net goes real slow, I keep getting popups, and somehow it changes my google searches. I see in m task manager a ew weird things runing, like chkntfs. exe, and v6. exe. What is a good FREE spyware removal? Last time I used what was supposed to be a good free one, it deleted a system file so I'm wary. And I can't search google because this thing won't let me. Help please! I'm pretty sure it was Adaware SE that ruined my PC last time. Can someone recommend programs free that they have used before which have worked well?

The best program to use is not on the Internet. Five years ago I had the same problem that you have now. A friend of mine turned me on to this program and it really works. It is called Defender Pro 5in1 they have it at Walmart and it is not expensive. It really works. When you get a chance I would recommend you to get this program.
